During this series we are looking at some spiritual disciplines that we can put into practice in our lives to pursue a deeper relationship with the Lord. As we kick off the New Year, we want your students to be encouraged to seek after the Lord with everything they have.
A quiet time is an important part of the day in the life of a Christ follower. It is when a believer goes into a secluded place with no distractions from the world around them, focusing on God alone. It is a meeting between HUMAN AND CREATOR, where prayer and scripture are main priorities. The listener allows God to use the silence to speak to their heart. This silence is often needed because of the hectic craziness that is often found in daily life. After solidifying a steady routine, a follower will continually long for the intimate time with God and yearn to grow more in his presence.
As we dive into week two of "Square One" we are going to focus on worship. Now, worship is found in our daily lives and not just when we are in the worship center singing along with our worship band. During this sermon we are going to look at what it means to worship in all circumstances, all the way from the longing of unmet desires to the sense of pure joy and contentment.
During this sermon we are talking all about the body of Christ and the power of the parts within the body. When we enter into a relationship with the Lord we enter into the body of Christ. When we enter the body of Christ, our actions, both positive and negative, affect the body. How will we choose to affect the body?
